In an inspiring collaboration aimed at supporting the psychological rehabilitation of Ukrainian frontline doctors and medics, Sauna Aid has teamed up with the Swedish NGO RePower. This partnership focuses on providing much-needed sauna support to aid in the healing and recovery of these dedicated medical professionals.
A Healing Retreat in Denmark
In July, RePower, in coordination with Kolo Nordic, organized a transformative retreat for over 100 medical personnel from Ukraine. These brave individuals were bused to Silkeborg, a serene location in the heart of Denmark, for a week-long healing retreat. This event marks a significant effort to offer respite and rejuvenation to those who tirelessly work on the frontlines.
Ongoing Efforts in Sweden and Spain
This retreat in Denmark is not an isolated effort. To date, RePower has successfully organized eight similar gatherings in Sweden and Spain, continuously striving to provide safe spaces for psychological rehabilitation and support for Ukrainian medics.
Sauna Aid’s Contribution
Sauna Aid, renowned for its commitment to wellness to people in need through sauna experiences, brought its expertise to this retreat. Along with a wood-burning mobile sauna operated by Gusmaster Jens Bach from Sauna og Sønner and the skills of Danish Gusmaster Anette Larsen, Sauna Aid helped create an environment conducive to relaxation and healing.
