On December 9th, a unique event unfolded in Minneapolis, Minnesota, where the warmth of saunas and community spirit came together for a greater cause. The “Parade of Saunas,” organized by Glenn Auerbach of Sauna Times and Bill McKinney, brought over 65 sauna enthusiasts to explore more than 10 private, home-built saunas in the area.
This inspiring event served as a fundraiser for Sauna Aid and Healing Heroes, organizations committed to supporting mental and physical wellness through the therapeutic power of saunas. The event raised over $700, all of which will go toward Sauna Aid’s mission to bring sauna therapy to communities in need worldwide.
Participants toured a variety of backyard saunas, each with its own unique design and story. From rustic aesthetics to modern craftsmanship, these saunas showcased the creativity and dedication of local owners who opened their doors—and their steam—for this meaningful event.
A special thank you goes out to everyone who participated, donated, and helped make the Parade of Saunas a success. Your contributions not only fostered a sense of community but also made a tangible impact in helping others experience the healing benefits of sauna culture.
Have a creative fundraising idea for Sauna Aid? We’d love to hear from you! Together, we can continue to build a world where the restorative power of saunas is accessible to all.
